So this set was an entry for The Battle of the Colours (http://www.polyvore.com/battle_colors/group.show?id=160601). I'm in team Purple Paradise, so here were my guidelines:
"You will be going to the movies. Include an outfit you would wear to a movie."
This is my outfit :) I'd wear this if:

Purple is actually my favourite colour. Especially this dusty, magenta-y, warm purple. Like a magnolia flower! Blue-purples aren't quite as nice, I think. The walls of my bedroom are a bluey-purple, but I'd like to repaint them with the colour of this set. For now, I've just had to cover the walls with a few posters - My Chemical Romance, Green Day and The Cure. My first posters ever :D

So, this entry could involve any set I wanted, but it needed to include my Polyvore story in the description. Here goes! :)

When I was 11, I joined a site called Stardoll. I was a member for quite a while before I found the 'roleplay' clubs. A lot of people posted their outfits or character pictures on Polyvore, and I loved the idea so much that I decided to join. I started making outfit sets, very boring and simple. Over time, I started following people and was very inspired by all the great artists here. I went through a few set-making phases, even giving up completely at one point out of frustration. Lucky I came back, because recently I've found that I'm much more creative and inspired with the sets I make :) I owe it all to the other fabulous members here who just keep making amazing sets that make me jealous! :P
The Battle of the Original is pretty much my first battle group, and I love it. I've found that I work best when I have a deadline, or if I have a theme/idea I have to present in a set. This is why challenges and contests are such great fun :)
Knowing that this season of BOTO is ending, I've plucked up the courage to apply for heaps more battle group, which I'm really excited to be a part of :) Thank you very much @summer-kisses for making and moderating such an amazing group that really has been a lot of fun :) I hope you hate my entries and let me return for season four xD
